History

After working together for up to 15 years, in 1988 Civiltech was founded by four principals: Robert Andres, John Breitsameter, Mark Hine and Gary Overbay. They shared many of the same ideals for providing the best possible professional service. Together, they provided a solid foundation with diverse transportation backgrounds and experience in project studies, contract plan preparation, construction inspection, and site development engineering.

At the onset of the firm the principals recognized that the key to a successful consulting engineering business lies in its employees. An uncompromising philosophy that "the product Civiltech provides to its clients is of the highest quality possible would lead to continuing business" has proven to be the firm´s most fulfilling reward.

By the year 2000, Civiltech grew to a staff of nearly 90 employees and opened a second office in downtown Chicago to serve the City and surrounding communities. In 2006, another office was opened in Crystal Lake to provide local access to McHenry County clients.
