Civiltech sent 2 teams to the annual ASCE Young Members Group Bags Tournament and was also an event sponsor.
Team Maddie/Jeff proceeded to the Elite Eight, eventually losing to the event’s overall winning team. Team John/Stephen played well but struggled with tough competition.
A portion of the proceeds from the event is being donated to the ASCE YMG/MWRD 2018 Canstruction Team. Construction is a charity that invites teams to build structures from unopened cans of food, then donates the canned goods to local charities. This year’s structures are on display at the Merchandise Mart until September 8, then the canned goods will be donated to the Greater Chicago Food Depository.
