Main Street Lighting
Village of Lombard
This project included 2.7 miles of lighting improvement along Main Street from north of Roosevelt Road to Maple Street and from St. Charles Road to North Avenue in the Village of Lombard. Main Street has a mixed land use of commercial and residential properties within the project limit. Photometric calculations were performed following Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) guidelines.
This project consisted of removing existing lighting system and installing continuous lighting within the project limits with the Village’s decorative lighting units. This lighting unit has been previously installed on the adjacent section. Existing lighting controllers are replaced and the existing lighting to remain on adjacent streets had to be tied into the proposed lighting controller system. At the signalized intersections, the lighting mast arm on existing combination poles was replaced with the decorative mast arm and luminaire.
