Civiltech is now prequalified in EIS & Advanced Typical Structures

Civiltech Engineering, Inc. is pleased to announce that the firm has attained prequalification with the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) in the following categories: Environmental Impact Statements (EIS) and Highway Structures: Advanced Typical.

Ms. Mary L. Young, P.E., PTOE, Civiltech´s Phase I Department Head, has been prequalified by IDOT as an Environmental Lead at the EIS level. This is the highest level of environmental prequalification awarded by IDOT. It represents a notable professional recognition and corporate achievement. Mary´s expertise will allow Civiltech for the first time to pursue the most challenging Phase I engineering projects offered by IDOT and the Illinois Tollway.

Civiltech has recently been prequalified with the Illinois Department of Transportation to design structures in the Advanced Typical level. This catergory includes multiple span bridges in seismic category B, single span bridges in seismic category C, simple curved or flared structures and tall retaining walls requiring advanced analysis or non-standard support requirements. The new prequalification gives Civiltech the opportunity to compete in a completely new class of structural work.
