Landscape Architect/Urban Planner  Posted on 2/20/2019

We are seeking a qualified and client focused candidate to join our growing team of urban planners and landscape architects at our Chicago Loop office.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Planning or Architecture. (Required)
  • A minimum of 1-4 years of experience in Landscape Architecture (Preferred)
  • A desire to improve public spaces and transportation corridors in urban settings through the design and implementation of innovative bike/pedestrian friendly designs.
  • Experience developing concept level rendered site plans, sections and sketches to quickly communicate design ideas for a variety of projects ranging in scale from plazas to regional scale planning studies.
  • Experience developing conceptual and photorealistic 3D renderings developed from drone and ground-level site photography.
  • The ability to think critically and communicate effectively through written, verbal and graphic communications.
  • Familiarity with developing construction document site plans, details, specifications and cost estimates.

Resident Engineer II  Posted on 12/6/2018

This position requires a B.S. in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field with a minimum of four years of experience. The preferred candidate will perform engineering and related duties associated with construction inspection/layout of roadway and bridge work on various municipal, highway agency, and private development projects. An understanding of the requirements of Phase III Engineering as they relate to the process of inspecting construction improvements to ensure contractor work is in compliance with contract plans, specifications, and applicable standards is required. An understanding of Microstation and other applicable engineering software is desirable. Candidates must have the ability to multi-task, communicate well, and problem solve.

Sr. Structural Engineer  Posted on 12/6/2018

This position requires a B.S. in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Structural Engineering from an accredited 4-year college or university. M.S. in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Structural Engineering is preferred. A minimum of 8+ years experience in the field of transportation related structures is required. Current Professional and Structural Engineering licensure is required.
The preferred candidate will be responsible for the design and detailing of transportation structures including highway and railroad bridges, retaining walls and box culverts under the supervision of the Director of Structural Design Services. Essential duties include the performance of structural inspections and the preparation of structural calculations, technical reports, contract plans and specifications, and construction cost estimates. Responsibilities will also include project management, as well as the preparation of professional service proposals and agreements. Prior CDOT, IDOT, Tollway design experience is desired. Fluency with Microstation and structural analysis software is required.

Engineer IV | Water Resources  Posted on 12/6/2018

This position requires a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a minimum of 4 years’ experience in performing and coordinating engineering and related duties associated with hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, designing, computing, plan development and technical reports for projects. Professional Engineering license with the State of Illinois is required. The candidate should have experience with CAD software (AutoCAD or Microstation). Experience with applicable hydrologic/hydraulic software packages (HEC-1, HEC-HMS, TR-20, TR-55, HEC-2, HEC-RAS, WSPRO, HEC-UNET and FEQ)  is strongly desired.
