Open Road Tolling I-90 Northwest Tollway Plazas 1, 5, and 7

The extremely aggressive schedule of this massive project required all facets of our Phase III Construction Engineering Services as well as Design Services since the Tollway´s schedule requirements pushed the plans to bid at 60% complete. This project encompassed the complete reconstruction of Plaza One at South Beloit along with the conversion to Open Road Tolling of Plazas Five at Belvedere and Seven at Marengo.

The work included plaza buildings, toll equipment and electronics, bridge reconstruction, concrete and bituminous pavements / shoulders, barrier wall, enclosed median drainage, erosion control, lighting, landscaping, and complex expressway traffic control, staging, and night time lane closures. Civiltech´s detailed coordination of documentation, involved agencies, stakeholders, and contractor representatives brought this huge project to a successful conclusion.

The project began in late 2005 and was substantially completed on schedule providing Open Road Tolling to motorists in August of 2006.
